Rowledge Tennis Club is a small, 2 court club adjacent to a busy recreation ground in the centre of Rowledge Village. Although small, the club puts out several teams in the Aldershot and District LTA all year round and has over 200 members. Our coaching programme also has over 100 players receiving coaching weekly. Whether local or from another village, join and enjoy tennis at two very well maintained and ideally located courts.
The tennis courts are open for use. Please use our online booking system to book a court (members will have received an email about booking from Kelly Taylor on receipt of membership). Please adhere to government guideance on social distancing whilst on court.
Coronavirus – Closure of RTC Courts
Due to the Coronavirus outbreak and following on from the Prime Minister’s statement on 23rd March and a directive from the LTA, we have had to make the decision to now close the tennis courts with immediate effect and until further notice.
As a committee we feel compelled to be socially responsible in our efforts to encourage people to stay at home for the safety of others in our community.
Annual Event – 20th June 2020
Unfortunately, due to the Coronavirus situation, the Committee have had to take the decision to postpone the RTC Fundraising Event. The event will now take place on 26th June 2021 – put it in your diaries!
Annual subs are due but will be postponed until it is clear what is happening with the Coronavirus. The Committee will be in touch in due course.
New Court Booking System – update 07/02/19
Please bear with us while we change our court booking system. Our existing system, Bookit, has become obsolete and we are replacing it with the LTA approved ClubSpark. All current members will receive an email with a link to the new system very shortly. In the meantime, the courts are still available for use.
We have had a Committee reshuffle which means we say thank you and goodbye to Rob Stevenson who steps down as Chairman. We are please to welcome Justine Done to the Committee as Club Captain. The full Committee list can be found here.
