Rowledge Tennis Club is a small LTA registered club situated in the heart of the village next to the village recreation ground. Membership is over 200 with half being Juniors.  The Club is run by elected Committee Members, under the Club Rules, raising income from Membership fees.  Anyone and everyone is welcome to join,  you don’t have to be a good player (though any monster hitters out there could be useful on the teams!) but we hope that if you decide to join you enjoy playing tennis.  The club is an associate of the LTA and this allows us to use advice and guidance from the LTA and, most importantly, means we have an allocation of Wimbledon tickets.  We run a ballot for all paid up members in the Spring.  Our club welfare officer is Josephine Stevenson.

Our Junior and Adult Coaching Programmes  are run by Matt Marlow, an LTA level 4 coach.  We also run several Mens and Womens League Teams competing against other Clubs, as well as our own annual Tournament, and a few social gatherings thrown in.

The club has two hard surface courts and both are floodlit with play allowed up until 10pm. Both of the courts have been recently resurfaced and new floodlighting has been installed.  These floodlights are free of charge to members. Most of the time the courts are available for general use but there are also some Scheduled Weekly Sessions.

The club entered a period of change recently with a new clubhouse, new courts and floodlighting and a new 40 year lease put in place.  We have spent years fundraising and have made successful applications for grant funding for all this change and we hope the members enjoy the new clubhouse and courts!
